This role partners closely with the Controller and finance leadership to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient close processes. The Assistant Controller plays a key role in executing accounting operations, supporting consolidation and reporting activities, and driving consistency across business units.\nKey Responsibilitie s\nSupport the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness\nReview and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements \nAssist in preparation of financial statements and internal management reporting\nEnsure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies\nMaintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting\nPartner with business unit finance teams to ensure consistent accounting practices across the organization\nAssist with external and internal audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor requests\nSupport budgeting and forecasting processes through collaboration with FP&A and operational teams\nDrive process improvements in accounting operations, systems, and reporting workflows\nParticipate in finance transformation initiatives, including system implementations and standardization efforts\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required\nCertified Public Accounting (CPA) preferred \n5-8 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience preferred\nExperience in construction, infrastructure, or multi-entity environments preferred\nStrong understanding of financial close, reconciliations, financial systems, and U.S GAAP \nCore Competencies\nStrong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracy\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\nStrong communication and collaboration skills\nProcess improvement mindset with focus on scalability and efficiency\nBuild your career with a company that values safety, integrity, innovation, and the people who make our success possible.\nKokosing is an equal employment opportunity/affirmativeaction federal and state contractor.
