The Business Development Manager is responsible for Kokosing’s visibility and engagement across Kokosing’s Water market and support growth in our Federal and Industrial & Power markets.\nActivities of the Business Development Manager include, but are not limited to, development and execution of a business development plan, prospecting of new clients, furthering relationships with existing clients, attendance at industry events, participation in industry organizations, management of contacts and leads through a CRM system, leading proposal efforts, coordinating with key staff in marketing, estimating, and operations. This role defines and supports long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nExcel in a collaborative, team environment where every voice matters;\nLeads support generation of a Business Development Plan for responsible areas;\nServices existing client base, maintaining relationships;\nIdentifies potential clients by researching and building relationships with new clients;\nMaintain CRM data set including leads, opportunities, contacts, companies, and competitors\nSets up meetings between client decision-makers and the company’s practice leaders;\nLead the development of proposals including creation of the proposal approach, development of the proposal schedule, assignment of duties, and management of production;\nAttend industry events to expand network and promote Kokosing;\nParticipate in key industry groups at local, state, and national levels;\nOther duties as assigned\nDesired Experiences Include:\nMinimum 10 years’ experience in a target industry, with 15+ years preferred\nExperience in municipal markets, another important segment Federal and I&P\nEstablished relationships within targeted markets with Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia and surrounding areas, including understanding of client’s needs and solutions to those needs\nBS in engineering, construction, construction management or equivalent work experience\nProficiency in Microsoft software including Word\nExperience using CRM systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics, preferred but not required\nBenefits:\nKokosing offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, life, and disability insurance, paid time off and a 401K plan.\nKokosing is an equal employment opportunity/affirmativeaction federal and state contractor.
