With over $2.8 billion in annual sales and a commitment to its workforce, Kokosing is the winning team.\nJob Description:\nThe Electrical Project Manager (EPM) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all electrical scope activities at the New Lock at the Soo Project located in Sault, Ste. Marie, MI. The EPM ensures the electrical systems are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with federal standards, safety regulations, and contract requirements.\nThe role requires leadership of a team, close collaboration with government representatives, design teams, subcontractors, and commissioning authorities to deliver complex electrical infrastructure supporting mission-critical facilities.\nThis role is required to be onsite (i.e. no remote work) at the New Lock at the Soo Project located in Sault Ste. Marie, MI.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:\nManage all electrical aspects of the project lifecycle, from design coordination through commissioning and closeout.\nDevelop and maintain electrical project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans.\nCoordinate with general contractor leadership, field teams, and electrical subcontractors.\nEnsure electrical system compliance with federal construction requirements including:United States Army Corps of Engineers specifications\nNational Electrical Contractors Association standards\nNational Fire Protection Association codes such as the NFPA 70 National Electrical Code\nOccupational Safety and Health Administration safety requirements\nEM-385 safety requirements\nFederal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)\n\nDesign & Engineering Coordination:\nReview electrical design drawings, specifications, and submittals.\nCoordinate with engineering teams for:Power distribution systems\nBackup power systems\nLighting and controls\nMedium-voltage systems\nLow-voltage systems\nGrounding and lightning protection\nManage RFIs, design clarifications, and design changes.\n\nProcurement & Subcontractor Management:\nManage procurement of major electrical equipment such as:Switchgear\nGenerators\nTransformers\nVFDs\nUPS systems\n\nManage procurement and oversee electrical subcontractors and vendors.\nEvaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and track subcontractor performance.\nConstruction & Field Operations:\nSupport field teams during installation of electrical systems\nConduct coordination meetings with: Electrical Superintendents, Foreman, Subcontractors, Engineers & Client\nCommissioning & Turnover:\nSupport electrical commissioning activities including:Functional testing\nSystem integration\nPower reliability verification\nCoordination with commissioning agents\nDeliver as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and training for government personnel.\n\nOther:\nAbility to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.\nThorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.\nMust possess superior communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.).\nAbility to build trust and achieve results with clients and company team members.\nAbility to plan strategically over the entire span of a project and foresee and mitigate obstacles to performance.\nRead drawings, interpret work specifications and work scopes.\nDemonstrate the ability to have solid attention to detail, and the ability to be a problem solver.\nStrong work ethic to complete tasks as a team in a high-quality manner.\nExperience:\n10+ Years of experience in Electrical Project Management, Construction or Engineering\n5+ Years of experience in large industrial, power, or federal contracting projects\nPrevious work experience with USACE, NAVFAC, DoD, or other Federal Agencies is a positive\nPrevious working relationship with IBEW is a positive\nBenefits:\nKokosing offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, life, and disability insurance, paid time off and a 401K plan.\nKokosing is an equal employment opportunity/affirmativeaction federal and state contractor.
