This is a great opportunity for someone mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and ready to build a career in an exciting industry. We provide education, training, safety instruction, and opportunities to grow your skills while working alongside experienced team members.\nHome base for this position will be at theColumbus Plant.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAssist with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, motors, and equipment.\nLearn how to troubleshoot and repair controls, drives, and electrical components for conveyors, crushers, pumps, and other mining machinery.\nRead and follow diagrams, schematics, and instructions to complete jobs safely and correctly.\nHelp with regular equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance tasks.\nUse tools and testing equipment under the guidance of experienced electricians.\nWork closely with fellow team members to ensure operations run smoothly.\nFollow all mine safety requirements, including lockout/tagout and electrical safety rules.\nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nDesire to develop electrical knowledge and skills and working in a constantly changing environment.\nAbility to use hand tools and follow safety instructions.\nMechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.\nComfortable working outdoors in a physically active role.\nBe a team player with a positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - REQUIRED:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nWorking knowledge on use of a multimeter and other basic electrical tools.\nSafety 24/7 attitude and practice.\nSkilled in using basic hand tools and power tools.\nAbility to understand basic math and read a tape measure accurately.\nDetail-oriented with a focus on quality work.\nSelf-starter who works well independently and in a team environment\nAbility to inspect equipment and identify defects and safety concerns.\nWillingness to learn troubleshooting best practices for electrical and mechanical systems.\nComfortable working at elevated heights and changing conditions with proper PPE and safety equipment.\nADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - PREFERRED :\nExperience with industrial maintenance, repairs, and lighting systems.\nWorking knowledge of the use of computers for reporting, scheduling, and other work tasks.\nKnowledge and ability to learn electrical safety procedures.\nArc Flash Certification.\nLockout/Tagout (LOTO) Certification.\nValid electrician license or certification as required by local/state regulations.\nExperience and task trained in the operation of a man lift or bucket truck.\nConduit installation and maintenance experience.\nExperience with work orders, procurement, and inventory management.\nWorkday application experience.\nUnderstanding of NEC (National Electrical Code) and MSHA regulations.\nCERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:\nMust maintain a valid driver’s license\nWORKING ENVIRONMENT:\nExtended work hours in difficult environments, including dust, noise, vibration, weather, and varying temperatures.\nTravel is required, including some extended stays and varying locations.\nPlease note: this job description is intended as a general summary of the position; however, the individual will be expected to perform any functions or responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
