The role of a Lead Project Scheduler is to ensure that all stages of the construction process are accurately planned and executed in a timely manner. This role can sit out of Columbus, OH, Cleveland, OH, or St. Louis, MO. If sitting out of an Ohio location, there will be an expectation to travel to St. Louis once a month.\nSUMMARY\nRole is a Lead Project Scheduler for project pursuits ranging in size, complexityand scope. Primary responsibilitywill be supportingour project management tea, including self-performed and subcontractor scopes of work.\n\nIndependently, or with a project team, create high-level master schedules for projects ranging in size and complexity.\n\nPossess excellent time management and organizational skills and have a background in Civil Engineering or related fields.\n\nHave a deep understanding of construction processes, effective communication skills, and the ability to solve complex problems.\n\n ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONISBILITIES\nHave a firm understanding of construction sequencingand duration- ability to work independently or with a project team to developschedules ranging from summary level to detailed activity /resource loaded.\n\nAbility to work with mixedlevels of operations, clients, designersand trade partners to build out master schedules, provide critical schedule analysis, and provide team with suggested adjustments to improve schedule outcome.\n\nResponsible to ensure that the project schedulesconform to the contract requirements and specifications.\n\nParticipating in estimating and project meetings and providing scheduling input, recommendations,and value engineeringadvice.\n\nPrepare and present project schedulesand narrativesto clients and stakeholders.\n\nIdentifyand managepotential risks and developcontingency plans to address them.\n\nPerforming Time Impact Analysis (TIA).\n\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nA bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration preferred or experience in lieu of degree.\n\nIdeal candidates will possess8+ years of experience in Project Scheduling, preferably in heavy civil and heavy industrial construction projects.\n\nProficiencyin Oracle Primavera Cloud and / or Primavera P6.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nPrior experience performing critical path, earned value, and schedule impact analysis is preferred.\n\nAbility to work in concert with estimators, project team-members, subcontractors, engineers, contracting partners and clients.\n\nExcellent problem-solving abilities.\n\nAbility to multitask and work on multiple projects concurrently.\n\nBENEFITS\nKokosing offerscompetitivecompensation and benefits package including medical, life, and disability insurance, paid time off and a 401K plan.\nKokosing is an equal employment opportunity/affirmativeaction federal and state contractor.
