With over $2.8 billion in annual sales and a commitment to its workforce, Kokosing is the winning team.\nJob Description:\nSummary:\nPlans, directs, and coordinates construction activities for a wide variety of industrial projects.Project types range from Water/Wastewater plants (primarily) to factories/production facilities, data centers across a wide variety of industries and clients.\nTypical workload volume is overseeing one large project or a couple/several smaller projects.\n\nEnsures that project goals are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.\nManages Project Engineers, Superintendents and Foremen who supervise construction employees; charged with overall direction, coordination and evaluation of team.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nInitiate and maintain liaison with prime client to facilitate construction activities.\nEstablish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.\nConfers with project staff to outline work plan, assign duties/responsibilitiesand authority.\nEstablishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project - arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.\nDirects and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure work progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.\nReviews project proposal or plan to determine the timeframe, funding limitations, project procedures, staffing requirements, and available resources to various phases of project.\nReviews status reports from project personnel and modifies schedules/plans as needed.\nPrepares project reports for management, client, or others.\nConfers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.\nCoordinates project activities with activities of governmental agencies and subcontractors.\nUnderstands and is able to analyze and execute CPM-based project schedules.\nMonitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is built safely, on schedule and within budget.\nRepresent company in Owner progress meetings.\nManage financial aspects of contracts and responsible for project profit or loss.\nLead project team in daily field coordination meeting, weekly block schedule meeting and monthly safety kickoff meeting.\nMentoring and assist with career development of other team members.\nPerform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.\nOther tasks and duties as assigned.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nSupervisory responsibilities, in accordance with policies and applicable laws, include: interviewing/hiring; training; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding/disciplining;addressing complaints/resolving problems.\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management\nPE credentialing is not required but is a strong plus\n7+ years’ experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management required\nOpen to other large construction experience\nSkills and Abilities:\nUnderstand and interpret safety laws and company policies/standards.\nApply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance\nThorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities vital\nSuperior communication and interpersonal skills essential\nBusiness oriented person\nAbility to assure responsibility, interface, and communicate effectively with others.\n BENEFITS:\nKokosing offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, life, and disability insurance, paid time off and a 401K plan.\nKokosing is an equal employment opportunity/affirmativeaction federal and state contractor.
