We need a self-starter who can manage schedule and workload that produces quality work on time and can collaborate virtually or in person with team members, executive management, and other departments.\nSUMMARY\nThis position requires working in a fast-paced environment in our Annapolis Junction, Maryland office, and a high level of organization, detail, time management, coordination, and communication to execute multiple projects simultaneously with overlapping timetables. In return, it provides a career path that can lead into a management role.\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES\nLead and assist in developing compliant statements of qualifications, technical proposals, and presentations in response to Request for Qualifications and Request for Proposals, including:Preparing proposal criteria outlines and templates\nCollaborating with proposal team members\nPreparing drafts and editing/formatting proposal documents under aggressive deadlines\nReviewing proposals for compliance and document control\nCreating proposal covers and tabs\nProducing proposals for submission\n\nOTHER MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES\nA willingness to gain superior knowledge of Kokosing’s history, capabilities, and personnel that enhances our proposal and marketing efforts.\nDevelop, organize and maintain marketing collateral, such as project and personnel resumes, project photographs, media coverage, and logistics, and company brochures and newsletters. \nTrack proposal evaluations and benchmark competitors’ marketing efforts to improve proposal quality. \nCoordinate project submissions for regional/national awards and presentations, including gathering/ generating information and reviewing for compliance.\nProducing event materials/ads showcasing the company and/or our projects.\nMarketing material procurement and inventory for proposal printing, binding, and collateral. \nOther marketing tasks as needed, including internal/external events, holiday gifts/cards, company logo items, tradeshows/conferences, and photography/videography.\nQUALIFICATIONS\n5+ years of experience in proposal preparation and a degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or another relevant field. \nPast experience and understanding of highway construction and engineering is strongly preferred.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) required. \nExpected base pay range for this position is: $32.00/hr - $40.00/hr\nThis compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Kokosing at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
