Join KMI and be part of a company that values safety, integrity and quality.\nJob Description:\nAssists in the operation of the Liquid Asphalt Terminal as directed by supervision and the terminal operator relating to safety, maintenance and production of the processing operation. Operates and inspects mechanical equipment related to the Liquid Asphalt processing terminal, observes operation of equipment to detect malfunction, and informs supervisor when malfunction occurs.\n** Must be available to work any assigned shift.**\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities:\nLoading and unloading Elevated Temperature Liquid Tankers\nUnloading Elevated Temperature Liquid Railcars\nOperating and maintaining a Liquid Asphalt production plant\nUse of hand tools safely and effectively.\nTroubleshoot and repair, storage tanks, agitators, pumps, transfer lines, scales, condensers, etc.\nResponsible for greasing, lubrication, and other preventative maintenance including welding.\nEnsures all safety guidelines are followed\nMaintains the processing equipment within the general guidelines for each piece of processing machinery as directed\nRecords and maintains accurate maintenance records and forms\nResponsible for the inspection of safety devices, asphalt pumps, valves, and equipment\nResponsible for greasing and lubrication\n Operates heavy machinery including forklifts, man lifts, loader (backhoe)\nEducation and Experience:\nExperience with operating procedures of multiple types of equipment\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nProven experience in a setting that requires mechanical know-how.\nExperience in electrical, plumbing, or carpentry is a huge plus.\nMust be understand technical drawings, manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.\nBasic welding skills or knowledge of fabrication is a plus.\nMust have basic knowledge of proper operating procedures of multiple types of equipment\nMust be capable of operating the assigned machine and any other related equipment in a safe manner, and must be able to do a competent inspection of the equipment.\nMust be able to apply and retain information provided in crew meetings.\nMust be able to understand directions/instructions on methods/process to do work\n Must be able to maintain high level of awareness for a busy project work environment\nKokosing Materials offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, company paid life, and disability insurance.
