We support both public and private sector organizations through two main areas:\nConsulting - with a focus on strategy, investment analysis, and digital process improvement;\nIT Team Augmentation - helping clients scale and strengthen their tech teams.\nThe project\nWe are seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to work on a Tech project.\nYou will have the following responsibilities:\nDesign, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java, applying object-oriented principles and design patterns consistently;\nImplement infrastructure-as-code components using Terraform to support scalable and repeatable environments;\n\nBuild and evolve event-driven integrations using Kafka;\n\nDevelop and maintain automated tests (unit and integration), applying TDD and shift-left testing practices;\n\nContribute to CI/CD pipelines and workflows using Git-based version control and automation;\n\nDeploy and operate services in Kubernetes environments, supporting reliability and performance;\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver high-quality solutions.\n\nYou need to have the following skills/experience:\n5+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on Java backend development;\nSolid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and common design patterns;\n\nExperience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation;\n\nHands-on experience with unit testing, integration testing, and TDD/shift-left practices;\n\nProficiency with Git and CI/CD concepts and workflows;\n\nKnowledge of Kafka and event-driven architectures;\n\nExperience working with Kubernetes in development and/or production environments;\n\nExperience with GraphQL Federation;\n\nKnowledge of Azure Cloud;\n\nStrong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.\n\nLocation\nLisbon, Porto, Braga or Coimbra (Hybrid -
