We support both public and private sector organizations through two main areas:\nConsulting with a focus on strategy, investment analysis, and digital process improvement;\n\nIT Team Augmentation helping clients scale and strengthen their tech teams.\n\nThe project\nAs a Senior Java Backend Developer, you will work within an agile Software Development Team, responsible for the full lifecycle of an application.\nYou will scale the platform to meet the demands of several countries/markets, from developing flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to support the Product Owner with requirements and the team with solutions.\nYou will:\nDevelop and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and related technologies.\n\nCollaborate with the Product Owner to gather and refine requirements.\n\nDesign and implement well-structured, testable, and efficient code to solve business needs.\n\nCreate flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to support the development process.\n\nDevelop unit, component, and integrated tests in collaboration with the QA team.\n\nDeploy applications in a Continuous Integration (CI) platform.\n\nTest and document implemented solutions to ensure high quality and maintainability.\n\nParticipate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.\n\nStay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in backend development.\n\nYou need to have the following skills:\nProven experience with mission-critical Java applications, particularly in the banking and finance sectors.\n\nIn-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.\n\nProficiency in relational databases, including knowledge of indexes, optimization, and ACID properties.\n\nHands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including detailed knowledge of offsets, brokers, partitions, and consumer groups.\n\nFamiliarity with modern observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, ELK stack, and Datadog.\n\nExperience with cloud platforms, containerization technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.\n\nStrong knowledge of microservices architecture and asynchronous communication.\n\nUp-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, including Kubernetes, Prometheus, AWS, NoSQL databases, and messaging systems.\n\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.\n\nLeadership and mentorship abilities.\n\nStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a continuous learning mindset.\n\nEnglish C1\n\nLocation\nLisbon, Coimbra, Porto or Braga (Hybrid -
