He/she understands how customer needs are translated into product-specific requirements and is accountable for coordination of all engineering work until the project is handed over to maintenance. Takes part in non-standard solutions, tendering with expertise on KONE products like Elevators, Escalators and Autowalks, machine-room-less elevators, high rises,\nHe/she provides technical expertise support to the FL CSE, field operation and sales team in Delivery process to handle order management and successfully implements KONE products and service solutions, that meet customer’s contract specification by cost and leads time effective way, while ensuring compliance to codes and standards.\nThis role description applies to CSE Engineer, Project in KMTA CSE Functional Services.\nResponsibilities and key tasks\nCollaboration with sales:\nResponsible for finding the optimal KONE product to meet the customer’s needs for non-standard with Special Engineering requirements.\n\nSelects the correct product platform on which to make the offer and Ensure the offer is Competitive.\n\nProduct planning - Costing:\nInvolves Supply Line, installation, maintenance and project management to understand both the materials and the service cost of the product when needed\n\nResponsible for correct product costings in non-standard cases, both for corporate and local Materials\n\nProduct planning - Specs:\nAccountable for detailed, custom product plans for non-standard cases (collaborates with the SL Engineering team when needed)\n\nCreates product specifications for corporate materials and local materials.\n\nPerforms initial and revised non-standard energy calculations.\n\nPerforms simple traffic analyses.\n\nWhen accountable for the overall engineering of the project:\n\nAccountable for technical site surveys\n\nAccountable for the technical content of the order between MS 0b and MS 2z\n\nProduct planning - Availability and lead times\nCoordinates product lead times from Supply Line and local sourcing\n\nProduct planning - Installability\nEnsures that the proposed product can be installed\n\nEnsures that the cost and work effort impact of installation is part of product plans, especially in non-standard installation situations\n\nProduct planning - Maintainability\nEnsures that the planned proposed product fulfils the customer’s product lifecycle needs\n\nIdentifies possible deviations to standard maintenance methods and ensures that resolutions are found\n\nProduct planning - Compliance\nEnsures that the proposed product fulfils local codes, regulations and safety requirements\n\nEnsures alignment with environmental regulations\n\nEnsures that the planned product complies with KONE’s Engineering Policy\n\nKey tasks in the KONE Customer process\nProvides content for pre-booking reviews (technical product, costs, lead times, risks, and verification of technical content in contracts)\n\nExecutes activities for holistic product planning\n\nKey tasks in the KONE Delivery process\nAccountable for creation of layouts · Analyses change requirements, and makes proposals on new product design · Provides needed details to the CSE Specialist on ordering materials and completing the documentation process · Provides product-related information to the Project Manager, Installation Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor CSE Product Engineer’s role in the KONE SEB process · Shares knowledge with maintenance as needed General responsibilities · Participates in product and new service release information-sharing sessions · Provides technical trainings to Sales, Installation and Maintenance as per Front Line needs · Offers input to the product offering management about customization, standardization and interface requirements for the portfolio\nRequirement for the role\nDiploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering\n\nCandidate with minimum five years of experience in Elevator Industry and AutoCAD\n\nProficient with MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.\n\nExcellent communication and influencing skills in English and Arabic is an asset\n\nExcellent collaboration skills and capability to teamwork with people from different cultural backgrounds\n\nCapability for analytical thinking and focus on details - distinguishes between important information and irrelevant or minor details.\n\nAbility to work with global colleagues considering different time zones, language competences and differences in working culture.\n\nExcellent technical understanding of elevator, escalator and Advanced People Flow solutions that meet the customer expectations is considered a plus.\n\nAt KONE, we are focused on creating an innovative and collaborative working culture where we value the contribution of each individual.
