You'll spend much of your time out in the field, with regular overnight stays during the working week - travel and overtime are paid.\nYou'll support around 15 apprentices and improvers, alongside our skilled engineers, helping to build competence, improve installation quality and create consistent standards nationwide.\nWhat will you be doing?\nCoaching apprentices, improvers and skilled engineers to develop their technical competence\nDelivering training on escalator installation, fault finding, repair and working methods\nProviding technical support and coaching during live installation work\nSupporting the introduction of new products, tools, methods and processes\nIdentifying skills and competence gaps and providing targeted development\nCarrying out practical assessments and completing Pathway sign-off\nProviding early intervention where quality or capability issues are identified\nHelping to reduce snags, errors and repeat visits\nPromoting KONE safety, quality and installation standards\nSharing technical knowledge and best practice across the field organisation\nWorking closely with supervisors, technical specialists and operational teams\nSupporting continuous improvement in quality, productivity and technical capability\nWhy this role matters:\nThis role is the link between capability and performance.\nBy providing dedicated technical coaching and early intervention, you'll help developing engineers build competence faster, reduce avoidable errors and allow our experienced engineers to focus their time where their skills are needed most.\nProtect skilled engineering time. Raise the standard.\nWhat are we looking for?\nYou'll bring strong practical escalator engineering experience, ideally with a significant background in installation, and the technical credibility to coach others in a live working environment.\nYou don't necessarily need to be a professional trainer. What's more important is your ability to share your technical knowledge, provide constructive coaching and adapt your approach to apprentices, improvers and experienced engineers.\nYou'll enjoy being out in the field, working with different teams and travelling across the UK.
