This role oversees all installation activities from site preparation through final handover, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements. Acting as the primary point of contact at the jobsite, the Installation Supervisor collaborates with customers, contractors, installers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and a positive customer experience.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead installation activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to KONE quality standards.\nEnsure compliance with KONE installation methods, safety requirements, and risk management practices.\nConduct site readiness reviews, audits, and inspections, addressing any site-related issues with customers and project stakeholders.\nPlan and coordinate labor, materials, tools, equipment, storage, and logistics needed for successful installation execution.\nMonitor installation progress, costs, schedules, forecasts, risks, and change management activities.\nManage installation handovers, final testing, and transition to maintenance operations.\nServe as the primary customer contact for installation-related communication and issue resolution.\nDrive customer satisfaction through proactive communication and professional site management.\nReview and approve time sheets, installation documentation, progress reports, and quality records.\nEnsure proper management of environmental, waste, and hazardous material requirements.\nLead, coach, and develop installers and subcontractors while promoting a positive team culture.\nVerify installers are trained, certified, and qualified to perform assigned installation tasks.\nBuild and maintain strong working relationships with union employees, subcontractors, customers, and general contractors.\nRequired Qualifications\n2+ years of experience in the construction industry.\nMinimum one year of experience leading individuals or teams toward achieving common goals.\nKnowledge of construction site safety practices and quality management.\nExperience coordinating projects, schedules, resources, and multiple stakeholders.\nUnderstanding of installation processes, building systems, and construction methods.\nStrong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.\nAbility to read and interpret construction documents, plans, contracts, and specifications.\nAbility to effectively communicate with building owners, property managers, contractors, developers, and field personnel.\nundefined\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supervising construction, elevator, mechanical, electrical, or building systems installations.\nKnowledge of elevator industry installation methods, codes, and regulations.\nExperience working in a union environment.\nDemonstrated customer relationship management skills.\nUnderstanding of financial forecasting, budgeting, and project cost control.\nExperience training, coaching, and developing field personnel.\nCommercial and contractual awareness.\nEducation\nBachelor's degree from an accredited college preferred; OR\nAssociate's degree from an approved technical school preferred; OR\nEquivalent construction industry experience in lieu of formal education.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nA successful Installation Supervisor:\nDelivers projects safely with zero preventable safety incidents.\nEnsures installations are completed on schedule and within budget.\nMaintains high levels of quality and first-pass acceptance during inspections and handovers.\nBuilds strong relationships with customers, contractors, and installation teams.\nProactively identifies and resolves site issues before they impact project outcomes.\nEffectively manages labor resources, productivity, and subcontractor performance.\nAchieves high customer satisfaction throughout the installation process.\nCreates an environment where teams are engaged, motivated, and accountable.\nAbout KONE\nAt KONE, we foster an innovative and collaborative culture, valuing each individual's contribution.
