Join our flow.\nKONE is looking for qualified Maintenance Technicians in Cape Town, South Africa. Our team is composed of maintenance professionals who provide on-site customer service to ensure the smooth and safe operation of our equipment. We are now looking for a service-minded Maintenance Technician to provide professional elevator and escalator maintenance service to our customers.\nIn this role, you will be at the core of KONE - an everyday hero who makes people's lives easier. You will work towards ensuring quality service, improving equipment safety and performance, as well as promoting regular and proactive on-site communication with customers and the people using the equipment.\nResponsibilities:\nResponsible for customer satisfaction through quality of service and regular, proactive, and precise on-site communication;\nResponsible for accurate and real-time back reporting of work performed.\nMaintain excellent relationships with customers, the contact person, and end-users on-site.\nManage the site environment during service operations.\nIdentification of site risks and timely communication of any such occurrences;\nIdentifying “unplanned” service repairs based on the equipment needs, contacting the on-site contact person, getting his approval if not covered by the contract, and performing them;\nManagement of PAR stock levels (shelving, inventory, stock transfer) and timely issuance of replenishment orders;\nSubmit time sheets based on the execution.\nSkills & Experience:\nOne or more of the following qualifications:\nRed seal trade test certificate, lift mechanic;\nCompleted NQF level 4 certification with an apprenticeship program (minimum 4 years);\nCompleted Electrical/Mechanical Engineer Diploma/Degree with completion of at least 12 months shadowing a competent lift mechanic;\nCompleted NQF level 5 certification with completion of at least 12 months shadowing a competent lift mechanic;\nGood communication skills with basic IT skills.\nAt KONE, we are focused on creating an innovative and collaborative working culture where we value the contribution of each individual.
