KONE Technology & Innovation develops solutions that improve People Flow®. Within the Car & Door R&D department, the role supports the design, validation, and implementation of elevator car and door solutions, combining engineering analysis with practical product development.
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with strong analytical capabilities and a hands-on product development mindset to join the Car & Door Configurable Models and Mechanism team.
The role is balanced between FEM simulations and product development. Around 50% of the work will focus on structural analysis, validation, risk identification, and optimization of mechanical components. The remaining 50% will focus on CAD design in Creo, engineering documentation, testing support, industrialization, engineering changes, and collaboration with suppliers and manufacturing teams.
Key responsibilities
- Perform FEM simulations to evaluate, validate, and optimize elevator car and door components;
- Translate simulation and test results into practical design recommendations;
- Develop CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation in Creo;
- Support testing, industrialization, supplier collaboration, and manufacturing readiness;
- Manage engineering changes and contribute from concept development to serial production.
Requirements
- MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automation Engineering, or equivalent;
- 0 to 3 years of experience in FEM analysis, structural simulation, mechanical design, or product development;
- Knowledge of FEM tools such as Ansys or equivalent;
- Good CAD skills, preferably with Creo, and ability to create clear engineering documentation;
- Fluent in Italian and English.

This position is based in Pero (MI), Italy.

- Contract Type : Italian National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) - Metalworking Industry
- Base Salary: Starting from €35.500 Gross Annual Salary (RAL), negotiable based on the candidate's experience and background
