As a global leader in the lift and escalator industry, we provide lifts, escalators and automatic doors, alongside maintenance and modernisation solutions that add value to buildings throughout their life cycle.\nWe are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team, based in Slough, with occasional responsibility for projects at Gatwick Airport.\nIn this role, you will be accountable for managing project scope, schedules and budgets, while building strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders. You will coordinate the work of construction managers, subcontractors and on-site engineers to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.\nAlthough this role does not involve direct line management, you will play a key leadership role in coordinating project teams, driving progress and ensuring everyone works towards shared objectives. You will use approved KONE methodologies and tools, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and profitability.\nKey Responsibilities\nProject delivery: Oversee and monitor project execution, ensuring delivery in line with agreed scope, schedules, budgets and quality standards.\nCustomer relationship management: Act as the main point of contact for customers, maintaining proactive communication and addressing questions, concerns and changing requirements.\nPlanning and budgeting: Review project proposals, establish work plans, define resource requirements and monitor project costs and progress.\nStakeholder coordination: Coordinate construction managers, subcontractors, on-site engineers and internal KONE colleagues to ensure smooth project execution.\nMaterials and logistics: Oversee the planning and coordination of material deliveries and storage at project sites.\nRisk and issue management: Identify potential delays, resource constraints and project risks, taking proactive action to keep projects on track.\nProject leadership: Provide direction and motivation to project stakeholders, encourage collaboration and drive accountability without direct line management responsibility.\nCustomer satisfaction and profitability: Balance customer expectations with commercial objectives to deliver successful projects and positive business outcomes.\nSkills and Experience\nProven experience in project management, ideally within the lift and escalator industry.\nProject management experience in engineering, construction or a similar technical environment will also be considered.\nExperience managing projects at site level, including scope, scheduling, budgets and resources.\nA strong understanding of construction site activities and the coordination of subcontractors and engineering teams.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with customers and internal teams.\nStrong planning, analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects.\nA proactive, solutions-oriented approach, with the confidence to take ownership and resolve issues.\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive salary and bonus.\n25 days of annual leave, plus additional bank holidays.\nElectric company car, including private use.\nFuel or travel card and applicable radius-based travel payments, in line with company policy.\nCompany pension scheme.\nPrivate medical and dental insurance.\nOne paid volunteering day per year.\nKONE employee discounts and Gymflex membership.\n24/7 GP support and wellbeing resources.\nProfessional development opportunities and regular development reviews.\nSupport from experienced leaders in the lift and escalator industry.\nAdditional Information\nLocation: Based in Slough, with occasional travel to Gatwick.\nWorking pattern: Monday to Friday\nAirport security clearance: The successful candidate will need to obtain the relevant airport security passes. This includes providing a five-year history for the required background and criminal record checks.
