Ifyou arean experiencedpurchasing andcategory management professional who thrivesincomplex supplier relationship management,supplier strategy, and delivering commercial impact at a global scale, this rolecould befor you.You willbuild strong relationships with key business stakeholders and influence demand managementacrossthe Professional Servicescategory. You will lead category planning and purchasing for selected business functions,such as finance, outsourced services, legal services, management consulting, marketing and HR, as well asselected business applications.Thefinalscope will be refined based onthe selected candidate’sprofile.
To succeed inthisrole, youwill createvalue across the categories andstrengthenrelationships both internally and externally.You will work closely with seniorleadersandexecutivesin global functions.Our aim isto work proactively,betteranticipatedemand,simplifyprocesses, andidentifynew supplierswhere needed tofurther increase value- supporting KONE’s ambitiontobethe easiest to work for andtowork with.
Main responsibilities
Work closely withglobalcategorymanagers, key stakeholders,andbusiness functionmanagement teams to build category strategies aligned with broader organizational goals.
Lead cross-functional categorycollaborationto ensure buy-in andsuccessfulend-to-end implementation of category strategiesacrossfunctions and business lines.
Develop and executesupplier relationship management strategiestostrengthen supplier performance, reduce costs, enhance quality and sustainability,andsupport KONE’scompetitive advantage.
Actasthepurchasingsubject matter expertfor the assignedcategories.
Execute global transformation programs based on category strategies and business plans.
Drivechange management and innovation with strategic suppliers and the business.
Identify,initiate,and implement cost-saving opportunities to ensure savings targets are met.
RunRfXprocessesand leadnegotiationsand contract management for selected suppliers tosecurecost-efficient,high-quality services.
Requirements for therole
A master’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, orarelatedfield.
10+ yearsofexperience inpurchasing, category management,orarelevant businessrole, including3-5 years within Professional Services and TemporaryLaborcategories.
Provenability to managecross-functional initiatives,with strongprojectand change management skills.
Proven experience in tendering and managing major outsourcingservicecontracts.
Experience in HQ or group function roles is considered an asset.
Strongexpertiseinpurchasingand sourcing strategies, including supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.
Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Extensive experience in change management and senior stakeholder engagement.
Strong analytical and problem-solvingskills, with the ability to assessmarket trends,optimizecategory plans,simplify complexity,andapply a data-driven mindset. Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
A proactive, can-do attitude and collaborative way of working.
Passion for success and continuous learning.
Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
