This is what makes Konecranes a unique place to work.\n Electrical Assembly Floor Lead\nCrane Electrical Assembly, Wiring & Testing\nLocation: Houston, Texas\nCompany: Konecranes\nPosition Summary\nKonecranes is seeking a results-oriented Electrical Assembly Lead to lead electrical installation, wiring, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning activities associated with custom Engineered-to-Order overhead cranes.\nThis position is responsible for ensuring electrical systems are installed and tested safely, correctly, and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and workmanship. The Electrical Assembly Foreman provides direct leadership to electrical assembly personnel and drives accountability for safety, quality, productivity, and schedule adherence.\nThis role is critical in ensuring cranes are fully functional, tested, and prepared for shipment and field installation.\nKey Responsibilities\nLeadership & Team Development\nLead and direct electrical assemblers, technicians, and wiring personnel.\nEstablish a culture of accountability, urgency, and execution.\nCoach employees to achieve performance and quality objectives.\nAddress performance issues promptly and constructively.\nFoster strong teamwork across assembly, engineering, quality, and project management groups.\nProduction Management\nOversee electrical installation and wiring operations.\nCoordinate manpower and resources to support production schedules.\nMonitor progress and resolve technical and operational issues.\nEnsure equipment is wired and configured according to engineering requirements.\nCoordinate testing and commissioning activities.\nQuality & Technical Standards\nEnsure all electrical installations, wiring methods, control panels, and equipment assemblies comply with applicable NEC, UL, customer, and project-specific code requirements.\nSupport equipment designs and assembly processes that meet CSA requirements for cranes destined for Canadian service.\nEnsure electrical installations comply with engineering drawings, schematics, and customer specifications.\nMaintain compliance with Konecranes workmanship standards.\nVerify testing, inspection, and documentation requirements are completed.\nDrive first-pass quality and reduce troubleshooting and rework.\nEnsure equipment is fully functional before shipment.\nTesting & Commissioning\nOversee functional testing of completed crane systems.\nSupport troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of electrical issues.\nCoordinate resolution of deficiencies identified during testing.\nVerify readiness for shipment and field installation.\nSafety Leadership\nLead and promote a strong safety culture.\nEnsure compliance with electrical safety requirements and company procedures.\nConduct regular safety reviews and corrective actions.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.\n*This position will be located on the factory floor\n Desired Qualifications\nThorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and its application to industrial control panels, motor controls, crane systems, and manufacturing equipment.\nFamiliarity with Canadian Standards Association (CSA) electrical requirements, C22.1 Canadian Electrical Code, and customer-specific Canadian compliance requirements preferred.\nExperience interpreting electrical schematics, control drawings, and code requirements to ensure compliant installations.\nKnowledge of UL, NEC, CSA, and industrial electrical safety standards applicable to overhead crane manufacturing and testing.\nExperience leading electrical assembly, industrial controls, wiring, commissioning, or manufacturing operations.\nStrong leadership and communication skills.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.\nExperience managing production schedules and workforce performance.\nKnowledge of motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, industrial wiring, and crane systems preferred.\nDemonstrated commitment to safety and quality.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nSafe execution of electrical installation and testing activities.\nConsistent achievement of production schedules.\nHigh first-pass test completion rates.\nReduced troubleshooting and rework.\nStrong employee engagement and accountability.\nReliable delivery of fully tested crane systems ready for shipment.\nWhat we offer:\nBenefits: Medical Plan, Dental, Vision, 401k plan with a match from day one, identity theft protection, accident insurance, travel insurance and so much more!\nVacation: 2 weeks of vacation per year (pro-rated for the first year depending on start date). 5-12 years of service, 3 weeks. 13+ years of service, 4 weeks.\nSick Leave: 5 days of Sick Leave per year.
