The Port Services team specialises in providing advanced equipment, software and maintenance solutions for port container handling and lifting, optimising operations at ports
We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team in Sines _ Portugal
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing port equipment, playing a key role in the safety, efficiency and reliability of our operations.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out preventive maintenance, upgrades and repairs on port cranes and other lifting equipment.
- Diagnosing and resolving faults effectively.
- Liaising with customers, engineering teams and the parent company to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinating with the rest of the technical team to maximise productivity and safety.
- Identifying and reporting opportunities for improvements or sales during service visits.
- Accurately completing all required technical documentation.
- Carrying out repairs and upgrades to drive systems, including commissioning.
Essential qualifications:
- Carrying out preventive maintenance, upgrades and repairs on port cranes and other lifting equipment.
- Diagnosing and resolving faults effectively.
- Liaising with customers, engineering teams and the parent company to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinating and organising the technical team to maximise productivity and safety.
- Identifying and reporting opportunities for improvements or sales during service visits.
- Accurately completing all required technical documentation.
- Carrying out repairs and upgrades to drive systems, including commissioning.
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience in assembling port cranes.
- Experience in unloading vessels using cranes.
Good English skills
Please note:
- This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic port environment.
- Overtime will be compensated accordingly.
- Willingness to work in physically demanding conditions and varying weather conditions is required.
