The position is remote. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.\nBenefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, paid parental leave, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, commuter benefits and tuition reimbursement.\nThe Network & Infrastructure Engineering provides technical leadership for the implementation, integration, validation, and operational readiness of network and infrastructure capabilities supporting the IHS Health IT modernization environment.\nWorking in close coordination with network architecture and other Engineering functions, the position translates approved architecture and technical requirements into executable engineering activities and provides independent technical review of infrastructure design, implementation, testing, and readiness.\nThe ideal candidate has broad experience across enterprise networking, infrastructure engineering, system integration, technical baselines, testing, and complex multi-vendor implementation environments. This position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProvide technical engineering oversight for network and infrastructure activities supporting IHS Health IT modernization.\nTranslate approved architecture, requirements, and standards into actionable implementation requirements.\nReview network and infrastructure designs for technical adequacy, completeness, consistency, and alignment with enterprise standards.\nSupport engineering activities involving LAN/WAN connectivity, routing, VLANs, network segmentation, firewalls, DNS, remote access, cloud connectivity, and hybrid infrastructure.\nIdentify infrastructure dependencies affecting applications, devices, interfaces, cybersecurity, testing, or deployment.\nEstablish and maintain infrastructure-related technical baselines and authoritative engineering documentation.\nReview and validate network diagrams, hardware and software configurations, ports and protocols, firewall requirements, connectivity matrices, and interface dependencies.\nSupport configuration-management and change-control activities for infrastructure changes.\nProvide technical support for Interconnection Security Agreements (ISAs), Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) documentation, and applicable Interface Control Documents (ICDs).\nCoordinate technical inputs across network, security, application, interface, and vendor teams.\nReview infrastructure test plans, validation procedures, and technical evidence.\nSupport testing of connectivity, routing, VLANs, firewall rules, application connectivity, and infrastructure performance.\nIdentify deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions, retesting, and closure.\nSupport site and deployment readiness assessments, including network cutover planning, implementation validation, and rollback readiness.\nIdentify infrastructure risks, issues, and dependencies and provide clear technical recommendations to Engineering leadership.\nRequired Education and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.\nMinimum of 10 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure engineering, network engineering, infrastructure architecture, or an equivalent technical role.\nDemonstrated experience coordinating or leading enterprise infrastructure initiatives across network, hardware, and software layers.\nExperience integrating infrastructure components in complex enterprise environments.\nExperience reviewing technical designs, implementation plans, and vendor engineering artifacts.\nExperience supporting infrastructure testing, configuration management, and technical readiness activities.\nExperience with ServiceNow or comparable enterprise ITSM platforms.\nRequired Skills and Competencies:\nBroad knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure and networking.\nStrong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, DNS, network segmentation, and enterprise connectivity.\nWorking knowledge of hybrid and cloud infrastructure concepts.\nExperience analyzing ports, protocols, services, firewall dependencies, and connectivity requirements.\nWorking familiarity with NIST cybersecurity frameworks, security controls, and guidance applicable to federal information systems and infrastructure environments.\nStrong infrastructure troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis capabilities.\nExperience developing and maintaining technical baselines and engineering documentation.\nAbility to evaluate technical deliverables and test evidence.\nStrong understanding of infrastructure configuration-management and change-control principles.\nAbility to identify technical risks and communicate recommendations to senior leadership.\nStrong written and verbal communication.\nAbility to operate independently in a complex multi-vendor environment.\nAbility to obtain a Public Trust clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience supporting federal government, healthcare IT, or EHR modernization programs.\nExperience supporting enterprise EHR implementations, including Oracle Health/Cerner environments.\nExperience with Microsoft Azure or other enterprise cloud platforms.\nExperience supporting federal ISA and PPSM processes.\nExperience developing or reviewing ICDs and infrastructure-interface documentation.\nFamiliarity with Splunk or comparable infrastructure-monitoring platforms.\nRelevant Cisco, Microsoft, cloud, infrastructure, or cybersecurity certifications.\nOur Equal Employment Opportunity Policy\nThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
