# Materials Chemist

Our client, a leading company within the manufacturing industry is looking for a Materials Chemist to join their growing team. Your main responsibilities will be to: Act as technical authority on material properties and processing, ensuring device quality, repeatability, and yield. Troubleshoot shop-floor yield drops and process instabilities through structured root-cause analysis. Evaluate and qualify incoming raw materials (substrates, adhesives, functional fluids) against strict thermal and bonding tolerances. Establish in-process control limits, inspection criteria, and failure-analysis reporting protocols. Support NPI and DFM activities by validating prototypes and evaluating production feasibility. Implement process improvements to optimize throughput, cycle times, and material handling. Create standard operating procedures, technical documentation, and operator training modules. Please note that this is an urgent vacancy with a short hiring timeline. As a result, we are currently seeking candidates already based in Malta who have the legal right to work without requiring a new work permit or a work permit transfer.
