Kontoor Brands is a purpose-led organization focused on leveraging its global platform, strategic sourcing model and best-in-class supply chain to drive brand growth and deliver long- term value for its stakeholders.\nJob Posting:\n POSITION SUMMARY\nThis position will lead the monthly financial close process for the Mexico City business, which consists of the Wrangler® brand, with ultimate responsibility for accurate and timely monthly financial reporting to the corporate office.\nThis leader should consistently demonstrate a high level of ethics to all members of the accounting team and the organization.\nKey responsibilities will include preparation and review of all journal entries associated with the financial close, with intense focus on higher risk accounts such as bad debt reserves, inventory and related reserves, AP and accruals, and refund liabilities for customer returns and discounts.\nThis position is also responsible for the preparation and/or review of monthly account reconciliations, and execution of Kontoor’s internal controls framework in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. This position will also work with KBI’s Corporate Treasury Department, overseeing certain local cash management, accounts payable and customer accounting function\nDUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES\nResponsible for timely and accurate monthly financial reporting to the corporate office\nPreparation and review of monthly journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations. \nAct as a \"Legal representative\" for the entity responsible for local tax, audit and statutory regulatory communications and compliance.\nDisplay peak levels of ethics and morality, representing the office with integrity and a proactive “lead by example” approach.\nCoach and develop less-experienced staff.\nREQUERIMENTS\nMust possess a college degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or similar designation preferred but not required)\nMust have moderate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (i.e., ability to structure and analyze larger data sets and write formulas)\nShould possess 10 years of experience in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years of supervisory experience\nDetail oriented and able to comply with tight deadline\nExperience in SAP S/4 HANA is preferred but not required\nDemonstrating proactive decision-making skills, strong leadership capabilitiesand integrity.\nMust be registered legal representative in Mexico\nWhy Kontoor Brands?\nAt Kontoor, we offer a comprehensive benefit package to fit your lifestyle.
