This role is critical to maintaining peak system performance and ensuring long-term customer satisfaction across a wide range of industries.\nAt Koops, we aren’t just recruiting employees - we’re looking for fellow owners, because we are proudly employee-owned (ESOP).\nWhat You’ll Do\nTroubleshoot, repair, and upgrade custom automation equipment at customer sites\nSupport system performance and reliability throughout the equipment lifecycle\nDiagnose issues across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls systems\nPerform hands-on work with PLCs, HMIs, robots, and vision systems\nCoordinate solutions with internal teams and communicate directly with customers\nTravel to customer sites across North America \nMaintain strong documentation and communication on service activities\nDeliver high-quality service with a focus on customer satisfaction\nWhat We’re Looking For\nWe’re seeking a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working in the field, learning new technologies, and delivering solutions directly to customers. If you get bored easily and need challenging variety in your work, this might be the role for you.\nQualifications\nExperience troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment in production environments\nKnowledge of controls systems including PLCs, HMIs, robots, and vision systems\nAbility to diagnose and resolve issues across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, controls, etc.)\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset\nTeam-oriented approach \nHigh standard of integrity and strong problem-solving abilities\nWillingness and ability to travel 35% \nEducation & Experience\nFour-year engineering or technical degree, or equivalent hands-on experience with custom automation equipment\nExperience with controls programming (preferably Allen-Bradly PLCs/HMIs and/or robotic systems)\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and software systems\nWhy Koops?\nIf you enjoy working as part of an engaged, collaborative team - we’d love to hear from you.
