Move empty cars and load cars to different parts of the plant as needed. Understand the general switching within the plant yard and that of the BNSF main yard tracks.\nPull Chains from treated material when needed.\nHandles treated wood.\nPressure wash drip pad when needed.\nPerforms other work assigned by Management.\nResponsibilities\nPromptly and properly report all incidents, injuries, damage, spills and/or releases.\nPromptly report and, if possible, correct all unsafe acts and/or conditions\nWear personal protective equipment (PPE) required by the applicable PPE hazard assessments.\nMaintain a clean work area and perform required housekeeping activities.\nWork safely with and around hazardous materials and hazardous waste and comply ith all rules and regulations concerning hazardous waste.\nRespond to spills or releases.\nReport and take appropriate action to handle treated material that is dripping.\nAlways be aware of the location of equipment and personnel in the area when switching.\nRequirements\nPass pre-employment medical screening\nQualified for by having held the job or if awarded by seniority has the ability to be qualified.\nClean-shaven in the respiratory face piece sealing area.\nDemonstrates acceptable retention level for the required training elements.\nCandidate Preferred Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred \nBenefits\n10 Paid Holidays\n1 paid personal day\nHealth, Dental, prescription drug and Vision Insurance\n401k plan Company contributions will be made in an amount necessary to match one-hundred (100%) percent of the first one (1%) percent and fifty (50%)percent of the next two (2%) percent of compensation the employee contributes.\nLife insurance\nSickness and Accident plan\nVoluntary Cross Training Bonus\nSchedule\n2nd Shift\nKoppers Inc. and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers.
