This role will assist in the development, execution, and management of Koryx's responsible mining and CSI strategies and plans. The coordinator will join a dynamic and diverse team that is developing the Haib Copper Project, which will quite likely become Namibia's biggest mine. The Project soon will enter the Definitive Feasibility Study stage, with mine construction scheduled to start in about 18 months. The coordinator will need to spend 50-75% of their time in Noordoewer.\n\nJob Summary\n\nEmployer: Koryx Copper S.A.\n\nJob Type: Full-time\n\nLocation: Windhoek, Namibia\n\nCategory: Environmental\n\nSalary: A competitive salary, including pension.\n\nClosing Date: 2026-10-19\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAssist with executing Koryx overarching ESG strategy and related plans, and tracking KPI performance.\n\nAssist with the management of the Haib Foundation and Koryx's corporate social investment (CSI) and socio-economic development (SED) programmes.\n\nSupervise the collection of ESG data ensuring alignment with GRI Core and Mining Sector disclosures and assist in consolidating inputs and drafting content for the annual Sustainability Report.\n\nImplement local content initiatives, evaluate tender submissions, and manage supplier development (SD) and Enterprise Development (ED) programmes.\n\nScreen and onboard site vendors according to responsible sourcing criteria, update vendor ESG risk profiles, and audit contractor performance.\n\nAssist with external stakeholder and community engagement and monitor social license to operate (SLO) feedback and grievances.\n\nDeliver ethics and conduct training to employees and contractors, operate whistle-blower mechanisms, and conduct ethics due diligence on vendors.\n\nRequirements\n\nBachelor's degree in environmental or sciences, sustainability, or a related field.\n\nAn advanced or postgraduate qualification in a related discipline is highly advantageous\n\n3 - 7 years of experience in this or related field. Mining sector experience preferable.\n\nPractical understanding of global ESG frameworks and relevant local laws and expectations.\n\nNamibian citizenship, with preference given to applicants from the //Kharas Region.\n\nDriver's license and willingness to predominately be based in Noordoewer.\n\nEnglish and Afrikaans language proficiency. Other Namibian languages abilities are advantageous.\n\nExpertise in MS Office.
