For more than 100 years, our values have guided how we work together to influence, evolve and grow our future.\nMain Job Purpose\nDevelop, concept, design high quality connector systems within agreed project timing according to company procedures and customer requirements, leading the product development from start to production.\nRole may include focus on conceptualization and initial design with hand-off to move to production.\nMain Tasks\nDevelop high voltage connector systems according to customer and KOSTAL standards & procedures.\nEnsure feasible, robust, innovative and cost effective designs in accordance to market requirements.\nInitiates and tracks complete product validation according to customer specification in close relationship with KOSTAL test lab.\nInitiates engineering changes in order to increase robustness and/or profitability or to accommodate customer requests.\nDevelop competitive design concepts within market timing requirements.\nAssure design is according to DFA/DFM KOSTAL processes.\nThis position will require a high level of CAD development.\nSupport customer builds (as required) at their facilities.\nDevelops tolerance stack ups of the designed product to ensure robustness.\nLeads and maintains DFMEA activities\nProvide all required support and information regarding components and assemblies to all internal and external customers.\nDevelop DVP&R and test requests\n Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline\n8+ years related experience in automotive / aerospace industry\n5 years of experience in automotive connectors (high voltage experience preferred)\nProficiency in CAD software (CATIA preferred)\nProficient understanding of Automotive Sector - OEM’s - Tier 1/2\nSolid understanding of DFA (Design for Assembly) and DFM (Design for Manufacturing)\nTechnical Experience\nDesign Software\nCATIA Mechanical design, FEA CAD, analysis, concepts, drawing GD&T\nPLM Software\nUse, Workflow, Milestones, reporting\nProduct Validation\nProcedure, set up, Dossier tool\nStatistical Analysis\nMethodology, application, reporting\nProduct Development\nPhases, requirements, analysis and decision making\nRoot Cause Analysis\n8D, 5W, Fishbone, etc.\nPLEASE BEFORE SENDING , ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS:\n1.- How many years of experience do you have in the mechanical design of automotive connectors?\nLess than 3 years\n3 to 5 years\n6 to 8 years\nMore than 8 years\n2.- Have you served as a lead designer or technical lead in the development of automotive connectors that have gone into production?\nYes\nNo\nIf you answered “Yes,” please indicate approximately how many programs/products: _______\n3.- Which of the following standards or specifications do you have practical experience?
