If you enjoy balancing big-picture architecture with hands-on technical discussions-and want to leave your fingerprint on a platform operating at scale-this role is for you.\nYour responsibilities\nOwn the solution and system architecture for cross-team platform initiatives, ensuring alignment with our long-term architectural vision.\nTranslate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, defining APIs, domain models, system interfaces, and integration concepts for our Java/Spring Boot microservices and Angular applications.\nDesign architectures that balance scalability, resilience, security, performance, maintainability, and cost efficiency.\nDefine cloud infrastructure requirements together with DevOps and drive cloud-native best practices on AWS and Kubernetes.\nLead architectural initiatives such as platform modernization, migrations, third-party integrations, and Proofs of Concept for emerging technologies.\nEvaluate technologies, frameworks, and architectural patterns to continuously evolve our technology landscape.\nProvide architectural guidance to engineering teams, conduct architecture reviews, and ensure compliance with engineering, security, and quality standards.\nAct as a trusted sparring partner for the Head of Platform Architecture, Product Owners, Software Project Managers, and engineering teams on strategic technology decisions.\nMentor engineers and architects, foster technical excellence, and contribute to a strong engineering culture.\nSupport Sales and Customer Success by designing customer-specific solution and migration concepts for enterprise customers.\n What you'll bring\nA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification.\n8+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering within Java Enterprise/Spring environments and at least 5 years of experience as a Software or Solution Architect designing distributed, cloud-native systems.\nExtensive experience designing and implementing cloud-native architectures, ideally on AWS, with strong knowledge of Kubernetes, microservices, APIs, and modern software architecture principles.\nStrong understanding of software quality, scalability, performance, security, and maintainability in SaaS environments.\nProven ability to lead cross-team technical initiatives such as architecture redesigns, platform migrations, or large integration projects.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs and make sustainable technology decisions.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to different audiences.\nExperience working in agile development environments; experience with SAFe is an advantage.\nFluent English (written and spoken); basic German skills are a plus.\nExperience in the EV charging industry or relevant architecture certifications are welcome but not required.\nWhy this role?\nAs a Senior Solution Architect, you'll have a significant impact on the future of our platform.
