You will design and build the services and data layer behind our applications using Python, with relational databases underneath, all deployed and operated on AWS. You should be comfortable writing complex SQL by hand, designing REST APIs that other teams depend on, reasoning about performance and failure, and owning your code through testing, deployment, and production support.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, build, and maintain Python (Flask/FastAPI) services and REST APIs consumed by our front ends and partners.\nWrite and optimize advanced SQL multi-table joins, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions without leaning on an ORM to think for you.\nModel and evolve relational schemas, design indexes, and tune slow queries using EXPLAIN / EXPLAIN ANALYZE.\nPlan and run schema migrations safely against live data.\nHandle authentication, authorization, and the security of the endpoints you expose.\nBuild background jobs, queues, and scheduled work, and make them safe to retry.\nWrite meaningful unit and integration tests for the code and modules you ship.\nDeploy, monitor, and troubleshoot services on AWS, and improve build and release pipelines.\nReview peers' code, uphold quality standards, and mentor less experienced developers.\nRequirements:\nThis is a senior back-end role;
