We’re proud of our close-knit culture, where we speak up, celebrate differences and push boundaries together.\nAbout the role\nThis is a key leadership role within our production operation, where you'll act as the lead Maintenance Engineer for your production line and play a critical part in driving performance, reliability and continuous improvement. Working as part of a close-knit line leadership team, you'll take ownership of maintenance planning, scheduling and execution, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently to support operational performance.\nYou'll lead preventative and corrective maintenance activities, develop and deliver maintenance plans, and use data and root cause analysis to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability. Here’s a flavour of what we offer:\nCompetitive annual salary\n\nKP Pension Plan with up to 7% matched contributions\n\n25 days holiday, with the option to buy up to five additional days for more flexibility\n\nComprehensive healthcare support including Health Cash Plan, Digital GP and Employee Assistance Programme\n\nKP4ME benefits platform with discounts, cashback, wellbeing tools and everyday savings\n\nEnhanced family-friendly policies to support colleagues at every stage of life\n\nWhat will you be doing?\nLeading maintenance planning and execution\nTake ownership of maintenance activities for your production line, ensuring preventative and corrective work is planned, prioritised and completed effectively\n\nDriving equipment reliability and performance\nReview line performance, analyse incidents and equipment stops, and implement solutions that improve reliability and reduce downtime\n\nManaging maintenance schedules and work orders\nDevelop weekly, monthly and annual maintenance plans, ensuring work orders are appropriately prioritised, tracked and completed\n\nChampioning engineering excellence\nMaintain technical documentation, support compliance with engineering standards and promote best practice across the operation\n\nCoaching and collaborating with others\nWork closely with Production, Technical and Engineering colleagues while supporting the development and capability of the wider maintenance team\n\nRequirements\nWe’d love to hear from you if you can bring:\nStrong engineering qualifications and technical expertise\n\nNVQ Level 3, ONC, HNC or equivalent qualification in an electrical, electro-mechanical or mechanical engineering discipline, alongside an 18th Edition qualification.\n\nProven maintenance and fault-finding experience\nStrong diagnostic and problem-solving skills gained within a manufacturing or FMCG environment\n\nKnowledge of automation and continuous improvement\nExperience working with PLC-controlled equipment and Lean manufacturing tools and techniques\n\nA strong focus on safety and compliance\nKnowledge of COSHH requirements and safe systems of work, with a commitment to maintaining high standards\n\nLeadership and coaching capability\nThe ability to influence, develop and support others while taking ownership of performance and results\n\nOur purpose\nAt KP Snacks, we're passionate about creating happy snacking moments through our great tasting snacks and iconic brands.
