We’re proud of our close-knit culture, where we speak up, celebrate differences and push boundaries together.\nAbout the role\nWe're looking for an Operational Trainer to join our team and play a key role in developing the skills, knowledge and competence of our colleagues across operational activities.\nReporting into the Site HR Lead, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality training programmes focused on Material Handling Equipment (MHE), operational processes and safe ways of working. You'll ensure colleagues have the knowledge, confidence and authorisation to carry out their roles safely and effectively, while supporting compliance with business standards and legislative requirements.\nWorking closely with operational leaders, Health & Safety and the Education & Training (E&T) Pillar, you'll help drive a culture of safety, capability and continuous improvement. Here’s a flavour of what we offer:\nCompetitive annual salary and annual salary review\n\nKP Pension Plan with up to 7% matched contributions\n\nAnnual bonus scheme\n\n25 days holiday, with the option to buy up to five additional days\n\nComprehensive healthcare support including Health Cash Plan, Digital GP and Employee Assistance Programme\n\nKP4ME benefits platform with discounts, cashback and wellbeing support\n\nEnhanced family-friendly policies to support colleagues at every stage of life\n\nWhat will you be doing?\nDelivering operational and MHE training\nProviding accredited and internal training for Material Handling Equipment including Counterbalance, Reach Truck, Powered Pallet Truck, VNA and other authorised equipment, while delivering both practical and classroom-based learning\n\nAssessing competence and developing colleagues\nConducting operator assessments, refresher training, re-certification programmes and coaching colleagues to ensure they operate safely, confidently and effectively\n\nMaintaining compliance and training standards\nManaging training records, competence matrices and operator authorisations, while creating and updating training documentation including JOPs, One Point Lessons (OPLs) and job aids\n\nSupporting safety and operational excellence\nPromoting safe working practices, supporting battery charging and maintenance activities, working at height training, racking inspections and investigating MHE-related incidents and near misses\n\nDriving continuous improvement and capability building\nPartnering with operational leaders, HR and the E&T Pillar to identify skills gaps, deliver development plans and continuously improve training materials, standards and processes\n\nRequirements\nWe’d love to hear from you if you can bring:\nMHE training experience and qualifications\nAn accredited Material Handling Equipment (MHE) or Forklift Instructor qualification, along with experience delivering training within a manufacturing, logistics or warehousing environment\n\nHealth & Safety knowledge and a safety-first mindset\nA good understanding of Health & Safety requirements relating to MHE operations, with a commitment to promoting safe working practices and compliance across the site\n\nStrong coaching and communication skills\nExperience delivering training, carrying out competence assessments and coaching colleagues to build confidence, capability and safe working practices\n\nOrganisation and attention to detail\nThe ability to maintain accurate training records, competence matrices and training documentation while managing multiple priorities effectively\n\nA passion for developing people\nA genuine interest in helping colleagues learn new skills, improve performance and reach their full potential in a fast-paced operational environment\n\nA proactive and professional approach\nStrong problem-solving skills, confidence using Microsoft Office and training management systems, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and compliance\n\nOur purpose\nAt KP Snacks, we're passionate about creating happy snacking moments through our great tasting snacks and iconic brands.
