We’re proud of our close-knit culture, where we speak up, celebrate differences and push boundaries together.\nAbout the role\nAs a Process Operator, you will have responsibility for running the plant and improving and sustaining results and standards for the equipment you own. You will do this by building your capability including focusing on breakthrough areas determined by highest levels of loss. You will use DMS such as centre lines, CILs (Clean, Inspect and Lubricate) and Defect Handling.\nPlease note that, due to health and safety requirements associated with working in a manufacturing environment, all applicants for roles within our manufacturing facilities must be 18 years of age or older.\nWhat’s in it for you?\nWe believe in rewarding our colleagues and helping them thrive. Here’s a flavour of what we offer:\nCompetitive annual salary, plus KP Pension Plan with up to 7% matched contributions\n\n25 days holiday, with the option to buy up to five additional days for more flexibility\n\nComprehensive healthcare support including Health Cash Plan, Digital GP and Employee Assistance Programme\n\nKP4ME benefits platform with discounts, cashback, wellbeing tools and everyday savings\n\nEnhanced family-friendly policies to support colleagues at every stage of life\n\nWhat will you be doing?\nTake ownership of pellet plant equipment, driving performance improvements and building Autonomous Maintenance (AM) capability through the Equipment Owner Step Up Card process.\n\nEnsure smooth and efficient operations, working collaboratively with the team to manage start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers, while continuously improving Centre Lines (CL) and Clean, Inspect, Lubricate (CIL) standards.\n\nChampion safety, quality, and hygiene, following all procedures to maintain a safe working environment, support zero-loss culture, and adhere to clean-as-you-go housekeeping standards.\n\nIdentify and resolve issues at source, using basic engineering knowledge to fix defects, reduce waste and losses, and optimise energy usage across the line.\n\nCommunicate effectively across shifts, ensuring clear handovers and alignment through the Shift Daily Direction Setting (SDDS) process to maintain consistent performance.\n\nRequirements\nWe’d love to hear from you if you can bring:\nExperience in manufacturing or the food industry is highly desirable, along with a good understanding of food safety (Level 2 certification beneficial, but training is provided).\n\nStrong mechanical skills and confidence using hand tools are essential, as this is a hands-on role.\n\nGood literacy, numeracy, and basic IT skills, including Outlook and Excel.\n\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to work on your own initiative and effectively prioritise tasks.\n\nA proactive and flexible team player, with a positive, approachable attitude and willingness to support a variety of daily tasks.\n\nOur purpose\nAt KP Snacks, we're passionate about creating happy snacking moments through our great tasting snacks and iconic brands.
