We foster a culture that values teamwork, accountability, continuous learning, and exceptional client service.\nWe are seeking a detail-oriented Project Cost Accountant to support the financial management and successful delivery of projects across multiple disciplines. This role partners closely with project managers, technical staff, and leadership to oversee project financial performance, maintain accurate project accounting records, and provide meaningful financial insights that support informed decision-making. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, professional environment.\nUnder minimal supervision, the selected individual will perform a variety of project accounting and financial administration functions, helping ensure projects are set up, monitored, and closed out efficiently while supporting the overall financial health of the office.\nIndividuals in this role will be expected to confidently perform tasks similar in nature to the following:\nProcess and track client billing invoices in an accurate and timely manner \nRead contracts and interpret billing requirements \nProject setup, including bill structure, rate and classification information \nPayables entry of sub-consultant invoices \nCreate cost reports in BST 10 Global accounting software \nProject cost reporting for clients with special requirements \nManage accounts receivables on projects \nWork closely with Project Coordinators and Project Managers for reporting and invoice approvals\n Minimum Qualifications:\nAA degree with accounting/finance emphasis \nMinimum 2 years related billing experience \nSolid understanding of basic accounting process \nProficient in MS Excel and Office Suite \nStrong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills \nAbility to work independently or in a team and take initiative \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills \nDesired Qualifications:\nExperience with BST 10 Global accounting system \nExperience in an Engineering firm (or other Professional Services firms) \nExperience in billing with Public Works Agencies such as WSDOT, King County, Sound Transit and SDOT \n Physical Demands:\nDuties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.\n Occasionally may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.\nOccasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.\n Traveling to project sites or client meetings, which may involve driving or flying.\nCompensation:\nThe base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate is $35.00 to $39.00 hourly.\nAdditionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center.
