This role requires broad systems expertise in embedded software platforms and infotainment subsystems (Displays, Touch Interfaces, Cameras, Audio, Connectivity) with hands-on debugging across Bootloaders, Operating Systems (QNX, Linux, Android) & Hypervisors, Middleware stacks, Diagnostics frameworks, HPC SoC platforms Flashing tools & FOTA processes. The engineer will act as a first responder in production environments, driving rapid issue resolution and ensuring system readiness for vehicle integration.\nKey Responsibilities\nDebug and triage embedded software issues in Plant, VHIL, and Production setups.\nTravel as required to production plants, test facilities to support on-site issue resolution.\nSupport system bring-up and troubleshooting of bootloaders, OS, hypervisors, middleware stacks, and diagnostics.\nDebug and validate infotainment peripherals and connectivity subsystems, including:\nDisplays - initialization, bring-up, video pipelines, GPU/display controllers.\nTouch Interfaces - driver bring-up, calibration, responsiveness, and UI integration.\nCameras - ISP pipeline, MIPI interfaces, synchronization, diagnostics.\nAudio - HAL customization, DSP integration, routing, amplifiers, codecs.\nBT/WiFi - connectivity stacks, pairing, diagnostics, integration.\nRadio Tuners - AM/FM, DAB, SXM, tuner HAL and middleware integration.\nUSB and Automotive Ethernet subsystems.\nSupport diagnostic flashing processes (UDS-based flashing, DoIP-based flashing, plant reprogramming workflows).\nCollaborate with FOTA teams to debug Firmware Over-The-Air update mechanisms, including campaign execution, partial updates, and rollback handling.\nDevelop and maintain tools/scripts for log capture, automated debugging, and flashing workflows.\nEnsure comprehensive diagnostic coverage (UDS, DoIP, SOME/IP, OBD-II) and plant readiness.\nCollaborate with Base SW, Integration, Cockpit Infotainment, Connectivity, and Plant teams for root-cause analysis and resolution.\nDocument and share root causes, workarounds, and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.\nRequired Skills\nBachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or similar\n5+ years of experience in embedded software debugging.\nStrong experience in:\nBootloaders (U-Boot, ABL, or similar)\nOperating Systems (QNX, Linux, Android)\nHypervisors (QNX HV or similar)\nDebugging tools (JTAG, Lauterbach, GDB, trace/monitoring tools)\nHands-on experience with HPC peripherals and subsystems:\nDisplay frameworks and GPU pipelines\nTouch Interfaces (drivers, calibration, UI integration)\nCamera stacks\nAudio frameworks\nBT/WiFi connectivity\nRadio Tuners\nUSB and Automotive Ethernet\nFamiliarity with diagnostic protocols and update mechanisms: UDS, DoIP, SOME/IP, OBD-II, flashing workflows, FOTA update processes.\nExperience with VHIL/HIL test environments.\nWillingness and ability to travel to production plants, test facilities, or test sites (typically ~10-20%) to provide on-site debugging and support\nPreferred Skills\nKnowledge of HPC-class SoCs from Qualcomm SA8xxx/SA7xxx SoCs or NVIDIA/Intel/Renesas/NXP.\nFamiliarity with Adaptive AUTOSAR and ASPICE-compliant workflows.\nExposure to production plant processes and EOL (End-of-Line)
