The team plays a critical role in ensuring strong commercial performance, effective financial management, governance and contractual compliance across the contract lifecycle.\nWorking in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, the team partners with delivery, finance, procurement and client stakeholders to drive commercial outcomes, manage contractual obligations and support sustainable business performance.\nYour Opportunity\nThis is a 12-month parental leave cover contract based in Perth.\nAs a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial and financial management of client contracts, ensuring contractual obligations are met while supporting strong commercial performance and effective supplier management.\nYou will provide leadership across commercial and financial workstreams, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to manage contract compliance, financial reporting, invoicing processes, risk management and governance activities. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your commercial expertise in a role that combines strategic oversight with operational execution.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage the commercial and financial performance of client contracts across the contract lifecycle. \nOversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cost management and variance analysis activities. \nManage client invoicing processes and provide oversight of supplier payment activities. \nSupport supplier relationship management and end-to-end contract administration. \nPrepare, review and manage Statements of Work (SOWs), contract variations and contractual documentation. \nMonitor compliance with contractual obligations and maintain effective tracking and reporting processes. \nIdentify, assess and manage commercial, contractual and financial risks. \nSupport commercial governance processes and ensure reporting requirements are delivered accurately and on time. \nBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, finance teams and senior stakeholders. \nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance commercial performance and operational effectiveness. \nHow Are You Extraordinary?\nYou build trusted relationships, partnering effectively with clients, suppliers and stakeholders to achieve commercial outcomes and foster collaboration. \nYou communicate with confidence and clarity, presenting financial and contractual information in a way that supports informed decision-making. \nYou bring a proactive and solution-focused mindset, identifying risks, resolving issues and driving continuous improvement in a dynamic environment. \nYour Experience\nProven experience in commercial management, contract management, finance or a related commercial operations function. \nStrong commercial and financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cost control and variance analysis. \nExperience managing client contracts, supplier relationships and commercial obligations. \nStrong understanding of contract management practices, including Statements of Work (SOWs), contract variations and compliance requirements. \nExperience identifying and managing commercial, financial and contractual risks. \nProficiency in enterprise systems such as SAP, Sirion, ProTracker, CRM platforms and engagement risk management tools. \nExcellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders. \nDemonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment. \n Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.\nCA or CPA qualifications would be advantageous and highly regarded. \n KPMG is a professional services firm with global outreach and deep sector experience.
