The successful candidate will play a critical role in securing multi-cloud environments, embedding in client teams to deliver robust protection across platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nThis role requires hands-on technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, DevOps, and security teams to embed security principles into cloud-native architectures, with a working knowledge of Secure Architecture concepts.\nOur team combines deep sector insight, expert consulting capabilities and trusted client relationships to design and implement solutions that span all aspects of our clients’ operations. That means we are a fast-growing team which presents exciting opportunities for a manager to lead impactful projects, drive our ambitious growth agenda and seek career progression.\nWe are looking for a manager who possesses high quality consulting skills and a record of delivering outstanding results when leading complex consulting projects focused on delivering hands on security engineering engagements and to support KPMG’s growth in this market.\nWhat will you be doing?\nSupport projects, or workstreams within a larger programme, consulting with Partners, Directors and Senior Managers where appropriate.\nPlan and shape the delivery of engagements, including work plans, timelines, project management and resource allocations.\nProvide input on security operations capabilities and services.\nBuild and manage relationships with clients on a daily basis.\n\nWhat will you need to do it?\nTechnical background, willingness to learn, and experience within an operationally focused engineering function.\nExperience bringing a technology perspective to a broad range of client issues, demonstrating how technology can be used to address problems and realise opportunities.\nStrong understanding of cloud networking and architecture principles, Identity and access management models, security monitoring and SIEM integration.\nProven hands-on experience of at least two cloud environments including: \nAWS \nMicrosoft Azure\nVMware Cloud Foundation\nGoogle Cloud \nExperience securing multi-cloud or hybrid environments, including greenfield and legacy platforms.\nSkills we’d love to see/Amazing Extras:\nManaging teams, including the ability to structure complex projects.\nClear record of achievement and progression in a consulting firm or in a comparable environment within industry.\nRelevant cybersecurity certifications. \nConsulting experience within a ‘Big 4’ consultancy, or mid-tier firm.\nWorking knowledge of Secure By Design Requirements\nOur Locations:\nWe are open to talk to talent across the country but our core hubs for this role are:\nBirmingham\nBristol\nManchester\nThis position will largely be based within the Southwest of England and Manchester, with an expectation that the successful candidate will be able to work from client sites three or more days a week.\nDiversity and Inclusion:\nKPMG is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.
