We use a global methodology that helps you understand your potential and develop accordingly.\nSmart Working: We try to automate repetitive processes as much as possible using data analytics tools, so we can focus on the things that actually matter.\nWhat will you actually do?\nYou will be responsible for leading and delivering actuarial engagements for insurance clients, supporting both advisory projects and audit teams with robust actuarial analyses, valuations and insights.\nCore responsibilities\n Actuarial workstreams ownership: Own end-to-end delivery of assigned actuarial workstreams (pricing, reserving, reporting), from scoping and analysis through modelling, documentation and presentation of results.\nAudit support for technical provisions & capital requirements: Assist and advise audit teams on the valuation of technical provisions and capital requirements in accordance with ROGAAP, IFRS and Solvency II, ensuring methodologies and assumptions are appropriate and well-documented.\n Actuarial modelling & insurance processes: Apply actuarial techniques across key insurance processes (Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, Reinsurance, Accounting) and ensure that models reflect business reality and regulatory requirements.\n Data analysis & validation: Work with large data sets (policy, claims, exposure data) using tools such as Excel, Access and statistical software (e.g. R Studio) to clean, structure, analyze and validate inputs used in actuarial models.\n Advanced tooling & coding (plus): Where relevant, leverage SQL and Python (if experienced) to automate data processing, build reproducible workflows and enhance efficiency and quality of actuarial analyses.\nAI-enabled actuarial work: Use AI tools effectively by crafting efficient prompts, applying critical thinking to review AI-generated outputs, and integrating validated insights into actuarial and advisory deliverables.\nMethodology, documentation & reporting: Prepare clear technical documentation, working papers and reports that explain assumptions, methods, results and limitations in a way that is understandable to both actuarial and non-actuarial stakeholders.\nCompliance & risk management: Ensure compliance with KPMG’s Code of Conduct and Values, confidentiality policies, and all applicable regulatory requirements in the jurisdictions where we operate.\n\nWho are you?\nYou are an experienced actuary who understands both the language of insurance and the language of data, and you enjoy using quantitative insight to solve complex business and regulatory problems.\nMindset & behaviors\nAnalytical & structured: You can break down complex actuarial and insurance issues into clear components, structure analyses and design robust, transparent models.\nClient-focused: You listen actively to client and audit team needs, ask the right questions and translate business and regulatory requirements into practical actuarial solutions.\nProactive & accountable: You take ownership of your workstreams, anticipate risks or issues early, and drive them to resolution with minimal supervision.\n Collaborative team player: You enjoy working as part of cross-functional teams (audit, advisory, client) and share actuarial knowledge openly to raise the overall quality of delivery.\nEthical & confidential: You adhere strictly to professional standards, confidentiality requirements and KPMG’s Values in all client and internal work.\n Continuous learner: You actively invest in your own learning, stay current with regulatory changes (e.g. Solvency II, IFRS), and are curious about new tools (including AI and advanced analytics).\nExperience & background\nEducation:University degree in Economics, Mathematics or a related quantitative field.\nAn actuarial master’s degree is an advantage.\n\n Professional experience:Preferably 3-5 years of experience within the insurance sector as a senior actuary.\nPractical exposure to core actuarial techniques (Pricing, Reserving, Reporting) and main insurance processes (Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, Reinsurance, Accounting).\n\nFunctional expertise:Solid understanding of technical provisions and capital requirement calculations under ROGAAP, IFRS and Solvency II.\nExperience preparing and reviewing actuarial reserves and supporting audit or regulatory reviews.\n\nTools & methods:Strong working experience with large data sets using Excel and Access.\nExperience with statistical/software tools such as R Studio;
