As a Senior Consultant, you will collaborate with clients across industries to assess cyber maturity, design tailored governance frameworks and implement strategic roadmaps that align cybersecurity with business objectives. From risk assessments and control testing to executive-level reporting and awareness programs, you’ll play a key role in shaping how organizations anticipate, respond to, and recover from cyber threats. \nThis is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful change, working alongside experienced professionals and leveraging global insights to deliver high-impact solutions. \n\nWhat you will do\n\nAs a Senior Consultant within the Cybersecurity Strategy & Governance team, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: \nConduct cyber maturity assessments and cyber risk assessments using a variety of methodologies and frameworks \nDevelop and evaluate cybersecurity strategies, governance frameworks, and target operating models \nDraft and support the implementation of cybersecurity roadmaps \nAnalyze cybersecurity costs to identify optimization opportunities \nAssess the organizational capabilities of cybersecurity teams \nEstablish cybersecurity control frameworks and perform control testing to assess design, implementation, and operating effectiveness \nWrite cybersecurity policies, standards, and guidelines tailored to organizational requirements \nDevelop cybersecurity metrics and benchmarking tools \nDesign strategic cybersecurity dashboards to support executive decision-making \nDeliver advisory services to address business and IT risks \nReport on cybersecurity risks for a diverse range of audiences \nSupport clients with cyber training and awareness initiatives \nDevelop, facilitate, and participate in cybersecurity tabletop exercises \nCreate and deliver presentations to communicate findings and recommendations \nContribute to business development efforts, including RFP responses and proposal support \nDevelop and deliver cyber resilience plans and related materials to reduce operational impacts. \n\nWhat you bring to the role\n\n3–5 years of experience working on cybersecurity projects or activities \nBachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent technical training (preferred) \nMBA or master’s degree (an asset) \nMade real progress in or achieved CISA, CISM, CISSP, CIA, or other relevant designations and technical IT skills as part of a continuous professional development program \nFamiliarity with cybersecurity standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 27002, ISO 27005, ISO 19011, and NIST \nExperience in consulting or across various industry sectors (an asset) \nStrong understanding of industry sectors and business environments (an asset) \nHighly motivated, committed self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing priorities \nDemonstrated ability to learn quickly and succeed in fast-paced environments \nExcellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical thinking \nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders \nHigh degree of personal confidence, enthusiasm, and drive \nWillingness and ability to travel within Canada and internationally \nClient-oriented mindset with a commitment to high-quality, timely delivery \n\nKPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information\nThe expected base salary range for this position is $73,500 to $122,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications.
