Canmaking Mechanical Engineer

Purpose of role:

To work as part of a multi-disciplined shift team and to maintain all assets within the Canmaking team. The role is to optimise the utilisation of all Canmaking equipment to deliver maximum volume at the right quality.

Key Accountabilities: To operate/maintain Canmaking lines ensuring optimum safety, quality, yield and utilisation, including; • Mechanical maintenance duties to support production• Will safely carry out work on equipment across Canmaking• Must be proactive in line improvements from conception to completion• Complete duty rounds asset care, PMs and CBM as required• Support asset care / OEE process• Support breakdown investigations using 5Why’s and 5W&1H techniques• Must be willing to Embrace BBS, CI and HGPS initiatives and activities Education & Experience • Candidates must be Time Served Mechanical or Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer• Previous experience in the Packaging/Food/FMCG/Canmaking equipment is preferable• Previous experience in the operation/maintenance of high speed Canmaking equipment is preferable Key Job Competencies/Behaviours • Possess a flexible and enthusiastic outlook• Must possess Good Fault finding skills• A Team Player• Proactive in approach to all aspects of work
