We are America’s largest privately held cabinetmaker, a best-in-class team of over 6,000 team members across 20 locations, including 15 manufacturing facilities.\nSalary Range: $115,000 to $145,000 annually, plus annual bonus\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\nThis position can either be located at the Sayre or Orwell facility. The Plant Controller is responsible for leading all plant accounting related tasks. They will develop a partnership with the Manufacturing Leadership team to support plant objectives and initiatives. Significant involvement in development and maintenance of standard costing process and systems with ongoing review of product sourcing/profitability. Committed to working in a team-oriented environment with a service attitude, providing financial information to operational areas, and actively participating in numerous ad-hoc projects.\nPRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAccounting and Finance Lead in support of the entire manufacturing facility\nAbility to communicate financial information to non-finance departments\nGeneration and review of daily, weekly, and monthly plant metrics, including labor, overhead, scrap and throughput variance analysis\nMonth-end close responsibilities in the areas of labor entries and accruals, inventory reconciliations, material COS, overhead analysis, and transfer pricing. Ensure all accounting conforms with GAAP, company policy and Sarbanes-Oxley documentation\nStrong emphasis on continuous improvement relating to financial closing processes, analyses, and needs of other departments\nProvide support and guidance on development of plant standard product costs, bills of material, annual operating plan, and periodic forecasts\nReview and tracking of plant productivity projects coordinating with plant personnel on optimizing results\nEnsuring accuracy across all areas of inventory and providing analysis of perpetual transactions\nSupport development of plant capital budgets and development of individual capital authorization requests (coordinating with plant management)\nAd-hoc projects and analysis\nProvide insight/analysis for sourcing decisions regarding make/buys\nESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance\nFive or more years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment\nPrior standard costing experience\nPrior Plant accounting experience\nAbility to build a strong collaborative relationship with plant management team\nStrong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and standard cost / inventory systems\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision\nMust possess a sense of urgency and have a great work ethic\nAbility to interact with all levels of associates and work in a team environment\nGood planning and organizational skills combined with good written and oral communication skills\nMust be dependable and trustworthy\nWillingness to be on site and spend time on production floor\nAbility to travel 15-20%\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:\nFamiliarity with Oracle\nProficiency in Excel/Access\nKnowledge of ERP systems and their application in manufacturing operations\nExperience reviewing and analyzing Bill of Materials (BOM)\nWHAT WE OFFER\nAt Cabinetworks, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support your health, financial well-being, and work-life balance, including medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, parental support programs, and company-paid life and disability benefits.
