Building on decades of engineering expertise, Kraken Robotics delivers mission-critical capability to defence customers worldwide. \nThe successful candidate will be responsible for completing mechanical tasks on the projects, including modelling, producing engineering drawings and ordering prototype parts. Working closely with our internal engineering and project teams, the engineer must be able to step into an active workflow, operate with minimal supervision, and deliver high-quality mechanical drawings that meets the stringent standards expected within the defence environment.\nQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE\nUniversity degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent \nExperience using CAD software, preferably SolidWorks and/or Inventor \nProducing & reading standard engineering drawings and ability to interpret engineering drawings. \n4+ years’ experience in industry, working in product development and/or design \nDemonstrate a sound & comprehensive knowledge of fundamental engineering theories, aptitude for design & ability to problem solve. \nAbility to produce engineering drawings to BS8888 with a high attention to detail \nKnowledge of manufacturing principles and production processes. \nAbility to contact suppliers. \nAbility to communicate and collaborate with colleagues throughout the company at all levels and disciplines.\nPREFERRED SKILLS\nMRP experience \nSECURITY CLEARANCE\nSecurity clearance will be applied for on appointment - Only candidates suitable for clearance need apply. \nProof of residency in UK for last 5 years is required. \nUK nationals only.
