We aim to provide a work environment where individuals feel safe, know they matter, and can grow professionally.\nRole and Responsibilities\nBuild and improve internal web applications, dashboards, forms, reports, and workflow tools.\nDesign clean, usable interfaces for office, field, project, service, and leadership users.\nTranslate business requirements into small, well-defined development tasks and working features.\nFix bugs and improve the functionality and usability of existing applications.\nSupport integrations between internal systems and data sources, as directed.\nAssist with database queries, data cleanup, and reporting logic.\nDevelop internal automation tools that reduce manual work and improve visibility.\nManage code through GitHub branches, pull requests, and code review processes.\nTest new features prior to release and confirm functionality with end users.\nMaintain documentation for code, setup, workflows, and system behaviour.\nUse AI-assisted development tools responsibly, reviewing and validating all generated code.\nSupport special projects and other technical duties as assigned.\nQualifications and Education Requirements\nDegree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.\n0 to 2 years of software development experience, including internship, co-op, academic, or personal projects; experience building tools used by real users is an asset.\nBasic to intermediate experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript and a modern web framework such as React, Next.js, Vue, Svelte, or Angular.\nWorking knowledge of backend development, APIs, SQL, and database concepts.\nProficiency with Git and GitHub, including branching, pull requests, and code review.\nAbility to read, understand, and improve existing code, and to verify the accuracy of AI-assisted coding output.\nStrong communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to ask questions rather than guess.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Vercel, Render, Supabase, or Firebase.\nExposure to authentication, user permissions, and security basics, including environment variables, secrets, user roles, and access control.\nExperience with internal tools, dashboards, ERP integrations, workflow applications, or business software.\nFamiliarity with Microsoft 365, Power Automate, APIs, or business process automation.\nInterest in construction, electrical contracting, field service, project management, or operations.\nComfort working iteratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, including turning rough ideas into working software, showing progress frequently, and accepting feedback openly.\nWorking Environment & Physical Demands\nPrimarily indoor office work at a desk, with extended use of a computer, monitors, phone, and related office equipment.\nFull-time, office-based work on-site at the St. Catharines office, working directly alongside office, field, project, service, and leadership teams to learn business workflows and support users.\nRegular sitting, standing, and typing; an adjustable desk may be used to vary posture and reduce prolonged time in one position.\nFrequent visual concentration for writing, reviewing, testing, and debugging code and data.\nRegular verbal and written communication with non-technical users, leadership, and technical advisors.\nTools Provided\nProfessional training courses as deemed helpful\nDirect mentorship from the CEO and senior technical advisors\nCompany events\nRetirement Savings Program\nExtended Healthcare\nVision care\nDental Care\nEmployee Assistance Program\nEducation reimbursement\nHealth & Safety training\nComputer technology\nDevelopment tools, software licenses, and AI-assisted coding tools, as applicable\nTo apply, submit your resume, Cover Letter explaining why this role interests you, links to your GitHub, portfolio, school, or personal projects, and a brief description of one project you are proud of, including the part you personally built.
