Software Engineer

We are seeking exceptional Software Engineers to join our Loan Management System (LMS) team as we embark on a transformative journey to build new features, extend current functionality and re-architect our platform for scale. As a member of our 200+ strong technology organisation, you will play a pivotal role in building the next-gen backbone of THE new-age, tech-driven NBFC.

This is a backend-heavy, full-stack engineering role where you will work on critical systems that power our operations in their entirety, directly impacting millions of end consumers. You will contribute to designing scalable architectures, implementing robust solutions, testable code and establishing engineering excellence across the organisation. Responsibilities:

• Architect for Scale: Lead the re-architecture of our application to handle high-traffic volumes and support rapid business growth.
• Build and Extend: Design and develop features to support new products and expand our financial services portfolio.
• Own End-to-End: Take complete ownership of features from conception through deployment, testing, monitoring, and iteration.
• Champion Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with a strong focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Drive Monitoring: Implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and observability practices to ensure system health.
• Innovate with AI: Explore and integrate AI-assisted coding tools and automation to enhance team productivity and code quality.
• Collaborate: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Mentor and Guide: (For L3) Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and establish best practices.

Requirements:

• Experience: 3-6 years (L2) or 7-10 years (L3) of professional software development experience.
• Full-Stack Capability: Strong backend expertise with the ability to work across the stack, including frontend technologies.
• Product Experience: Proven track record of building products for end consumers at scale.
• High-Traffic Systems: Experience building and maintaining systems that serve high user volumes.
• Architecture Mindset: Deep understanding of system design, distributed systems, and scalable architectures.
• Code Quality Obsession: Passion for writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code with proper testing.
• Ownership Mentality: Self-starter with exceptional ownership - you see problems through to resolution.
• Data-Driven Approach: Strong analytical skills with the ability to make decisions based on metrics and data.
• Monitoring First: Understanding of observability, logging, and proactive system monitoring.

Good to Have:

• Prior experience in Fintech, NBFC, or the lending domain.
• Experience with Go, React, AWS, and Temporal.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements in financial services.
• Contributions to open-source projects.

Technology Stack:

• Backend: Go (Golang) (a plus), Gin framework, (Extremely strong in any othe programming language).
• Frontend: React.
• Database: MySQL.

• Workflow Orchestration: Temporal for durable job execution.
• Deployment: Serverless architecture on AWS.
