You will keep databases secure, available and performing well for the applications that depend on them.\nThe ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented and calm under pressure. You should be comfortable handling routine maintenance and responding quickly to database issues.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nInstalls, configures, patches and upgrades IBM Db2 databases.\nMonitors database health, capacity and performance.\nManages backup, recovery and disaster recovery procedures.\nControls user access and applies database security settings.\nTunes SQL and database settings to improve performance.\nSupports developers with schema changes and deployments.\nMaintains database documentation and runbooks.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications:\n3+ years of experience administering IBM Db2 databases.\nExperience with Db2 on Linux, UNIX or Windows (LUW) or z/OS.\nStrong SQL and shell scripting skills.\nExperience with backup, recovery and performance tuning.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently in a remote environment.\nContinually required to use common office equipment including but not limited to computers, phones, scanners and printers.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nIBM Certified Database Administrator - Db2 certification.\nExperience with high availability tools such as HADR.\nExperience supporting federal government contracts.\nCompensation: $68,843 - $76,492 per year\nKreative Technologies is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing a workplace free from harassment and discrimination.
