About the role :
We're hiring a Principal AI Engineer at KreditBee, Bangalore. What if your next role meant building the AI platform that every team in the company builds on? We're looking for a hands-on technical leader to own the design, scaling and future of our AI Platform and Generative AI stack. This is not a slides-and-strategy role. You'll set the architecture and stay close to the code where the critical decisions get made.
What you'll build and lead :
- Enterprise-grade AI platforms for model serving, orchestration and AI-powered workflows.
- Production LLM solutions : fine-tuning, inference optimization, evaluation frameworks.
- Advanced RAG pipelines : ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector search, reranking.
- Agentic AI : multi-agent systems with tool calling, planning and memory that execute reliably.
- LLMOps/MLOps : deploying, monitoring, versioning and continuously improving models.
- Resilient, low-latency distributed systems on Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Guardrails, governance and cost efficiency for AI at scale.
- The next generation of senior engineers, through mentoring and architecture reviews.
What you bring :
- 10+ years of engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in LLMs, RAG, vector databases and agentic systems.
- Strong Python and production-grade backend skills.
- Proven experience with microservices, event-driven systems, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD.
- A track record of taking AI from proof of concept to reliable production.
- Technical leadership : you influence direction across Product, Data Science and ML teams.
Bonus points for :
- Building AI platforms used by multiple teams.
- Experience with model gateways, inference serving and evaluation pipelines.
- Optimizing LLM latency, throughput and token costs.
- AI-specific observability and safety controls.
Location : Bangalore, local candidates only.
Work Mode : Work from office, 5 days a week.
Education : Graduates of Tier 1 institutions.
