As a Software Engineer in Test (Data) on our SEIT team, you'll build automated tests across business logic, APIs, and the pipelines moving data through BigQuery and Redshift. You'll sit with Product and Engineering from the moment a feature is defined, catching what could break before it reaches production.\n About the job:\nCollaborate with the engineering team in reviews of technical specifications and program code with an emphasis on testability\nAssure Clean Code Development: readability, changeability, extensibility, and maintainability\nAnalyze legacy code to advise and coach teams on adherence to clean code development and to build appropriate tests\nAnalyze requirements and help define acceptance criteria for features being developed\nWork closely with the Product team to understand expectations of how a feature should function\nDecompose user stories/requirements to identify what tests need to be created and automated across the full solution stack (business logic, contract, journey, accessibility, visual, performance)\nWork in tandem with developers to automate tests for the full solution stack (business logic, contract, journey, accessibility, visual, performance)\nWork with development and operations teams to debug testing failures\nActively monitor post-release metrics to identify any defects that may have slipped through the cracks\nWrite tests that expose the defect before any fix is attempted\nEvaluate existing testing methodologies and suggest new techniques to help deliver high-quality features faster\nImprove, maintain, and execute automated testing across the full solution stack\nMaintain a solid understanding of QA workflows and test automation best practices\nMaintain proficiency in the application and use of systems, tools, and processes\nAbout you:\n3-5+ years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or software engineering in test (SEIT), ideally with exposure to data-intensive or fintech systems\nStrong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts (e.g. BigQuery, Redshift, PostgreSQL)\nProficiency in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used for test automation (Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript)\nExperience building and maintaining automated test frameworks across business logic, API/contract, and end-to-end journey layers\nFamiliarity with data validation techniques such as schema validation, data lineage tracing, and statistical drift detection (e.g. Population Stability Index)\nWorking knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g. Git, GitLab CI, Jenkins)\nSolid grasp of clean code principles and the ability to coach engineers on testability and maintainability\nStrong analytical and debugging skills, with the ability to trace failures across distributed systems\nGood communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering\nNice to Have\nExperience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer)\nExposure to performance testing and accessibility/visual
