Principal responsibilities include operations, establishing and maintaining standards of care, managing of staff and resources, and maintaining compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations.Job Description:\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nOversee Imaging and Testing Department employees by delegating duties to utilize staff at optimal efficiency.\nDirectly supervise Photographers, Diagnostic Testing Specialists, and Sonographers that are regularly scheduled at the location.\nHandles all employee relations duties such as hiring, firing, interviewing, goal setting, performance reviews and coaching.\nCreates and provides all new hire and ongoing training for staff.\nEnsures adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises.\nCollaborates with other managers on a routine basis who may have employees performing work in the Testing and Imaging area.\nPrepares daily schedule for staff and revises schedule to adjust for any staff call-ins and lunches.\nHost daily huddles with the team and communicates any policy changes from Management.\nEnsure customer service initiatives are followed and handles any patient complaints.\nResponsible for approving requested time off and payroll timecards.\nEducation, Licensure/Certification, and Training:\n3+ years ophthalmic imaging experience required with at 2+ years in a supervisor role preferred.\nBachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of years of experience and education.\nCRA (Certified Retinal Angiographer, OCT-C (Optical Coherence Tomography Certified) or other related ophthalmic certification preferred.\nSkills and Abilities Required:\nExcellent communication skills\nExpertise in team or department setting\nAbility to remain calm under pressure\nFirm grasp of company policies\nStrong work ethic\nPunctuality and time management skills\nProfessionalism and a positive attitude\nSafety Requirements:\nCompliance with Department Health and Safety policies and procedures\nWorking Conditions/Schedules:\n40 hour work week, hours and days to be determined by the business needs of the department.
