If this sounds like the right environment for you we invite you to apply below.\nThe Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for directly managing the AR Specialist, AP Specialist, and Staff Accountant, and for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and discipline of subledger operations and the monthly close process. This role acts as the operational bridge between subledgers and the GL, ensuring that transaction-level activity is complete, accurate, and ready for close-while personally owning and executing close calendar deliverables for non-inventory accounts.\nThis role is based in our New Orleans Headquarters 5 days a week.\nKey Responsibilities:\nI. Team Management (AR, AP & Staff Accountant)\nDirectly manage the AR Specialist, AP Specialist, and Staff Accountant, and own their performance outcomes \nEstablish clear daily, weekly, and monthly deliverables \nUnblock issues quickly and enforce escalation discipline \nImplement structured cadences (1:1s, weekly reviews, KPI tracking) \nII. Subledger Accuracy & Output Quality\nEnsure AR and AP data is complete, accurate, and timely \nReview aging, cash application, payables, and vendor activity regularly \nEnforce documentation standards and transaction support \nEnsure subledger outputs are close-ready\nIII. Month-End Close\nOwn close execution for non-inventory accounts (AR, AP, accruals, expenses, etc.) \nEnsure all entries and reconciliations are completed on time \nPersonally prepare and review journal entries and account analyses for non-inventory close areas in partnership with the Staff Accountant \nTrack close progress and proactively resolve delays \nIV. Reconciliations & Trial Balance Oversight\nPersonally prepare and/or review reconciliations for non-inventory balance sheet accounts \nEnsure completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation \nIdentify risks, aging items, or unresolved balances \nEscalate material issues to the Controller\nV.
