Responsibilities:

  • Integrate AI prototypes into our Ruby on Rails production platform.
  • Build and productionize AI-powered menu optimization, personalized nutrition, and scoring systems.
  • Develop intelligent automation for inventory, yield prediction, ordering, and operational workflows.
  • Integrate health data sources, analytics platforms, and modern AI services (GPT/Claude).
  • Establish engineering best practices, including CI/CD, code reviews, deployment standards, monitoring, and security.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership and an external engineering agency on a shared codebase.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Ruby on Rails experience in large production systems.
  • Strong PostgreSQL expertise (performance, schema design, migrations).
  • Working knowledge of React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience integrating LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, etc. ) into production applications.
  • Strong understanding of security, RBAC, audit logging, and compliance best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD, code reviews, QA processes, and incident response.
  • Comfortable working in legacy codebases and improving systems incrementally.
  • Experience collaborating with agencies or distributed engineering teams.
