We are Kronospan.\n The primary purpose of the Boiler Operator’s position is to perform all assigned process tasks, including but not limited to, the safe operation of all Energy Systems & Water Treatment equipment and controls. Additionally, the operator will be required to perform basic, routine equipment maintenance and cleaning on all machinery and workspaces in the assigned area of responsibility. The operator will be required to understand and manipulate computer software related to the management of Energy Plant & Water Treatment operations. The operator will also be required to identify conditions in the process or equipment which may lead to substandard production levels and initiate the proper corrective action. Further duties include assisting maintenance personnel in the troubleshooting, repair, or preventive maintenance of equipment\nFollow standard operating procedures for the start up, operation, and shut down of all equipment related to Energy Plant operations.\nMeet or exceed all quality, and productivity measurements in order to achieve optimum combustion levels.\nMaximize the use of wood dust and waste to fuel the wood fired Energy Plants.\nAssist in providing job coverage in the event of absence\nBleed the Energy Plant system as necessary.\nConduct shift change procedures at the end of each shift with the oncoming operator.\nOperate a variety of equipment such as valves, pumping systems, chemical feeders, measuring and control systems, and filtration systems as needed to ensure required water quality levels are maintained\nRecord and enter data into computers, make entries into plant maintenance systems, and prepare a variety of reports\nLoad and unload chemicals\nCollect samples and perform basic laboratory analytical tests on effluent wastewater\nMay operate heavy equipment\nAssist in installation of all new equipment, components, and systems according to plans and specifications.\nPerform routine mechanical and quality inspections including the thermal oil circuit, fire suppression system, water treatment, and feed water system.\nAssist in the installation of all new equipment, components, and systems, or the improvement of existing equipment, components, and systems as required.\nPerform or assist with preventive maintenance procedures and repairs as scheduled or directed.\nConduct filter changes on the thermal oil system.\nMaintain proper housekeeping conditions within the work area.\n The ability to read and comprehend work instructions of a technical nature.\nThe ability to operate or learn to operate heavy machinery, front end loaders and fork lifts.\nThe ability to work with electric, pneumatic, or hand tools.\nThe ability to work effectively with other members of the facility team.\nThe ability to work without constant supervision.\nThe ability to creatively problem-solve, individually or as part of a group.\nThe ability to
