We are Kronospan.\n The primary purpose of the Chip Yard Operator’s position is to safely operate the designated front end loaders (or similar machines) to supply chips for the production of MDF. Other tasks include but are not limited to cleaning the assigned area in the chip yard, the safe operation of the Hammel Grinder / Shredder, maintenance of machinery associated with the chip yard, cleaning machinery associated with the chip yard and performing preventative maintenance of machinery associated with the chip yard. This position is a rotating shift schedule including weekends.\n Must have experience driving heavy equipment such as front end loader, grader, backhoe, bulldozer, or 8-ton lift\nAbility to read, comprehend, and follow all JHSAs, technical specifications, and work instructions for the assigned process task.\nAbility to perform routine mechanical and quality inspections of equipment and raw materials.\nAbility to assist in the installation of all new equipment, components, and systems, or the improvement of existing equipment, components, and systems as required.\nAbility to perform preventive maintenance procedures as scheduled or directed.\nStrong sense of teamwork and cooperation\nA positive attitude, open mind, and controlled composure in all workplace interactions.\nStrong sense of urgency\nThe ability to work without constant supervision\nThe ability to operate heavy equipment including front end loaders, bull dozers, and / or other similar mobile equipment\nAbility to effectively communicate with management and peers\nThe ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.\nExcellent attendance record\nWillingness to work overtime as needed to cover for vacation,
